I relaunched my creative career after a long hiatus, stepping back in to pursue what I loved. At 47, as an American living in Germany, I knew starting fresh in a new country and industry wasn’t going to be easy. I quickly learned that the traditional methods just wouldn’t cut it—I had to approach things differently.

I faced a choice: either stay stuck in old habits or figure out how to adapt to a new landscape. So, I rolled up my sleeves, found mentors, experimented with new strategies, and even started a podcast to connect with industry pros and get the insights I needed. I immersed myself in what other successful creatives were doing, applying those lessons and refining my approach along the way.

Soon, I saw a shift. I wasn’t just connecting with other creators—I was building a fulfilling, sustainable career that aligned with my passions. I began creating workshops, sharing what I’d learned, and generating real income by teaching others how to do the same.

And if I can do it after stepping away for years, you can, too.
